I had the pleasure of talking to Zsofia Karetka about Community After Schools Project (CASPr), about the Listen to Us initiative – a Daphne-CHILD Project that empowers children in Dublin’s North East Inner City to lead conversations about violence prevention.
I shared insights into CASPr’s history of serving one of Dublin’s most historically disadvantaged communities, their approach to working with children who have experienced drug-related violence and intimidation, and how they’re using creative methodologies to help children express their voices and experiences.
The conversation explores the complexities of breaking through fear and silence, the importance of community solidarity, and CASPr’s innovative three-pillar approach: keep them safe, connect with them, and engage them in creative learning
